Five years after an uprising killed Libya's Moamer Kadhafi http://www.superstarspruzzodicolore.it/superstar-nere-oro.html - adidas superstar oro e nere , residents in the chaos-wracked country's capital joke they have grown to miss him as the frustrations of daily life mount.
Those living in the capital say they are exhausted by power cuts, price hikes and a lack of cash flow as rival authorities and militias battle for control of the fragmented oil-rich country.
"I hate to say it but our life was better under the previous regime," says Fayza al-Naas http://www.superstarspruzzodicolore.it/scarpe-superstar-bianche-oro.html - adidas superstar bianche e oro , a 42-year-old pharmacist, referring to Kadhafi's more than four decades of rule.
Today, "we wait for hours outside banks to beg cashiers to give us some of our own money. Everything is three times more expensive."
A UN-backed unity government has struggled to assert its authority nationwide since arriving in Tripoli in March http://www.superstarspruzzodicolore.it/adidas-superstar-tutte-nere.html - adidas superstar tutte nere , with a rival parliament in the country's far east refusing to cede power to it.
On Friday it suffered a new blow when a rival seized key offices in the capital and proclaimed the reinstatement of a third administration previously based in Tripoli.
The turmoil after Kadhafi's 2011 fall has allowed the Islamic State jihadist group to gain a foothold on Europe's doorstep after seizing the strongman's hometown of Sirte in June last year.
Forces loyal to the unity government have for five months been fighting to expel the last jihadists from the former IS stronghold, with support from US air strikes since early August.
With the loyalists weakened by the anti-IS battle, forces led by a controversial field marshal last month seized key oil terminals to its east http://www.superstarspruzzodicolore.it/adidas-superstar-tutte-bianche.html - adidas superstar tutte bianche , allowing the National Oil Company to resume crude exports.
The eastern parliament has thrown its support behind Khalifa Haftar, who presents himself as Libya's saviour in the face of a growing jihadist threat but is a hugely divisive figure.
- 'Chaos or military rule' -
While his army has ousted most jihadists from Benghazi, the birthplace of the 2011 uprising http://www.superstarspruzzodicolore.it/superstar-con-fiori.html - adidas superstar con fiori , his detractors accuse him of working towards the single goal of seizing power to establish a new military rule.
"Libyans are forced to choose between two extremes: either chaos with militias and Islamist extremists as the dominant forces, or military rule," said Libya analyst Mohamed Eljarh.
"No other convincing options are on offer http://www.superstarspruzzodicolore.it/superstar-fiori-di-loto-ciliegio.html - adidas superstar fiori di loto ," added Eljarh, of the Rafik Hariri Centre for the Middle East.
Haftar's forces have fought for more than two years to expel jihadists from second city Benghazi, while pro-GNA forces are caught up in fighting IS in Sirte.
According to Libya expert Mattia Toaldo http://www.superstarspruzzodicolore.it/superstar-spruzzi-di-colore.html - adidas superstar spruzzi di colore , these rival forces might then want to extend their influence in other areas of the country and be met with tough local resistance.
"It is hard to think that the country will be stabilised any time soon," said Toaldo.
"Libyans seem to have swapped a repressive centralised authoritarianism with a more decentralised and chaotic form of authoritarianism, be it under militias or under the rule of general Haftar."
UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang Wednesday made a statement at the General Debate of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly here. The following is the full text of Li's statement:
Work for a World of Peace, Stability and Sustainable Development
Mr.President,
I congratulate you on your election as President of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly. I believe that under your presidency, this session of the General Assembly will move forward and make good progress according to its agenda. I also appreciate the effective work of Mr. Lykketoft as President of the last session of the UNGA.
I also wish to pay tribute to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon who, with modesty and a drive for harmony and accommodation, has worked tirelessly and in a down-to-earth manner over the past decade, and whose work has contributed significantly to world peace, sustainable development and the advancement and protection of human rights in the world.
Mr. President,
Dear Colleagues,
The UN Sustainable Development Summit held last year adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, opening a new vision for global development. At the summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping gave a speech entitled "Towards Win-win Partnership for Sustainable Development" to expound on China' s principles and position as well as its readiness to advance the agenda for sustainable development.
This year is the first in the Agenda's implementation. The G20 Summit held not long ago in Hangzhou of China reached the Hangzhou consensus on world economic growth. A blueprint was drawn for building an innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive world economy. Participants at the Summit pledged to actively implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and formulated an action plan toward that end, which injected new vigor to global sustainable development. The Chinese government was also among the first to adopt and release the country's National Plan on Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As for the General Assembly, it has decided that for this year's session, the general debate will focus on the theme "The Sustainable Development Goals: a universal push to transform our world". These, in my view, are all highly relevant.
Sustainable development is first and foremost about development. Development underpins every human achievement. Without development, nothing can be sustainable. The lack of development is often at the root of many problems facing the world. Be it poverty or the refugee crisis, war, conflicts or terrorism, they all could be attributed to insufficient development and none can be addressed properly without development. Only development can guarantee people's fundamental rights. Only development can root out the cause for global challenges. And only development can ad. http://www.cheapfinlandjerseys.com/ - Cheap Finland Jerseys http://www.cheapczechrepublicjerseys.com/ - Cheap Czech Republic Jerseys http://www.cheapusahockeyjerseys.com/ - Cheap Team USA Jerseys http://www.cheaprussiajerseys.com/ - Cheap Team Russia Jerseys http://www.cheapjerseyssenators.com/ - Cheap Senators Jerseys http://www.cheapjerseysrangers.com/ - Cheap Rangers Jerseys http://www.cheapjerseyspenguins.com/ - Cheap Pittsburgh Penguins Jerseys http://www.cheapjerseyslightning.com/ - Cheap Tampa Bay Lightning Jerseys http://www.cheapjerseysislanders.com/ - Cheap New York Islanders Jerseys http://www.cheapjerseysgoldenknights.com/ - Wholesale Golden Knights Jerseys
